Wadenhoe House Wedding - Gavin & Sinead
After Sinead was a bridesmaid at one of my weddings last year it wasn't long after that she got in touch with her now husband - Gavin, to book me for their wedding; & I'm very happy they did!
Both Gavin & Sinead are relaxed, laid back & extremely lovely people & this shone through the whole wedding day. They actually got legally married the day before but then had a blessing at the local Chapel where Gavin grew up followed by a reception at the lovely Wadenhoe House. The blessing was incredibly personal & intimate in a place where Gavin has lived all his life, so this made it extra special. Then we all made our way to Wadenhoe House for a fun, relaxing drinks reception. As I had already met this bunch of bridesmaids last year they felt very comfortable having lots of pictures which was great for me but also important to Sinead as they all have a special bond which brought even me to tears during Sinead's speech. I say 'even me' like it's unusual, when I cry during most speeches - which is ridiculous!
On the drive back from the Chapel I had spotted a Rapeseed field close by, & as everything went as planned time wise I asked Sinead & Gavin if they would like to have some photos there before the afternoon tea was served as I knew we had a bit of time. I did a celebratory dance inside when they agreed! I feel it really suits them & their rustic / quirky theme.
Staying with the relaxed vibe, they had afternoon tea savouries followed by speeches & then afternoon tea desserts. A lovely way to break up & have a different twist on a three course meal. Both lovers of going to concerts & clearly have been to many together, as the main feature on each table was a ticket from one of the concerts they have been to, along with a bottle of gin - Sinead's favourite tipple!
The evening celebrations carried on outside & through Wadenhouse House leading into lots of dancing & a hog roast.
This day was a great example of doing 'your day your way' rather than sticking to wedding traditions. It was a pleasure for Rob & I to be there amongst the fun & laughter.
The cherry on top was when we received the most amazing hamper unexpedidly in the post only a few days after the wedding after seeing their preview. Truly LOVELY people.
Here's just a few images of their special day. (There was A LOT of pictures for this one!)
