Upper Court & The Moretons Wedding: Fran & Pete
Fran & Pete got married on the 18th June at Upper Court Kemerton followed by their reception in a Yurt at The Moretons. Fran always loved planning parties when she was little & she took that passion into planning their wedding & I will say it is definitely what she should be doing as a profession!
Everything other than the Yurt & food was done by friends & family for this wedding as they both decided that their time was more precious than any wedding gift. Fran said even the suppliers (including myself) were sourced carefully & chose with the ability to adapt to their style. Fran & Pete wanted the theme of the wedding to reflect them & to be as personal as possible. That is why they chose to get married at The Moretons as you are left to do whatever you want! Here are some keywords they focused on when planning: Natural, relaxed, local, personal, meaningful - & wood, paper & ribbon filled!
This blog would go on forever if I listed everything everyone did but to give you an idea, Fran hand painted the table place names, baked the cake, wrote Pete's vows, flavoured the gins, made over 1,000 paper flowers, taught herself calligraphy to do all the stationary - & this isn't all! Pete wrote Fran's vows, bent all the copper & cut the bases for the table names, made the garden games & the bar sign - & this isn't all! Fran's brother made the actual bar! Fran's Stepmom made her wedding dress, veil & the flower girl dress! Fran's Dad made chandeliers & centrepieces & lit the yurt! Fran's Mum dried all the confetti & foraged all the Rosemary & Wild Flowers & filled the test-tubes. All friends & family set up together the day before. Pete's sister did Fran's makeup & the hair was done by a family friend. This is only to name a few. Literally everyone did something & you really could see the effort & passion that had gone into each & every detail. Rob & I were looking around saying we had never seen anything like it & this was purely down to the fact of how they did it - completely personal. It was perfect. Also I have to say that the bouquets by Jenny Fleur were probably some of the best I have ever seen. Jenny only uses in season flowers & even uses some from her own garden!
As well as the gorgeous details, the actual timeline & events of the day were fabulous. Pete surprised Fran with a VW van to bring her to the church & also a bouncy castle which everyone had fun on after their ice-creams. Ice-creams were served outside after the meal as desert which I also found a lovely idea & meant everyone came together outside to play games before the evening celebrations commenced. So not only did Rob & I love this day due to the amazing detail & wonderful planning but also the people. We were made to feel like part of the family & never for one moment did we feel like we were working or under pressure. When booking me Fran also booked a family shoot as well as an engagement shoot so I did already feel like part of the family if I'm honest! Here's the lovely message we recieved once Fran & Pete had their photos:
Dearest Jess and Rob,
We don't think we can ever thank you guys enough for those photos. You and Rob have captured the day so perfectly. Every photo brings back so many memories and viewing the album together we have relived the day over and over. It's been an emotional two days! There are so many moments there that probably would have faded from memory with time but now we know we will always remember them and can cherish the whole day forever.
We have shared the album with our families and the response has been nothing but praise for your work. Everyone is amazed by what an amazing job you did and how quickly you got the images to us. Our parents especially wanted us to pass on their thanks and praise for such an incredible album. I'm sure your ears will be burning non stop over the next month as we send out our thank you cards with the link to our guests!
When watching the slide show we kept on saying "that's such a lovely picture" only to be blown away again by the next one! We feel like you saw the wedding through our eyes and captured everything important to us.
You guys not only take beautiful photos but are beautiful people and we wish you nothing but happiness and success. It was an absolute pleasure to share our day with you and we were so sad when we had to say good bye.
We can't wait for our next excuse for a shoot so we can see you again!
All our love and undying thanks
xxooxx Fran and Pete xxooxx
