Thanks 2023...

My last blog was called ‘Dear 2022’, so now here’s ‘Thanks 2023’, and my God - it does need to be thanked. The year of change!

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged for a year exactly to the day! Especially when I used to blog so much! However, I forgive myself, because this year has been A LOT, and I haven’t had the time, or words. It has been the worst and best year of my life for many different reasons.

I have grown and changed as a person, for the better. I am 100 times stronger, braver, nicer; and I thought I was all of these things before! I have a whole new life, house, location, car, studio and man (of my dreams). I’ve lost a lot, but gained so much more. If someone would’ve given me a crystal ball this time last year, I would’ve laughed, and probably felt petrified.

As well as the personal whirlwind I have been on, I have been extremely busy with weddings and family shoots. I also held my first workshop at the beginning of the year! Like every year, I am grateful for every single one of you who chooses me to document such intimate, precious times in your life, those who continue to come back to me and those who just follow and show support.

I have found this year so emotional, and cried at nearly every wedding. It has been like starting all over again, like I’ve never been to a wedding before, because emotionally I am in such a different place.

I am extremely excited for 2024, although I am busier than I was this year, with three of my weddings also being abroad - in the middle of summer; I think it’ll be a lot more manageable than this year, due to everything that has happened.

I can’t wait to see what 2024 brings, I have a very very good feeling.
