The Manor House, Castle Combe Wedding: Gracie & Charlie
Where oh where to start with this lovely wedding. By far one of my favourite days, couples & Wedding Dress'!
Gracie got in touch with me rather last minute after her sister Sophie booked me from being a bridesmaid at one of my previous weddings. As this was in the middle of wedding season & I was soon to be going away, we handled the booking all through email which is very rare; but I had to go with my gut (plus the fact I had already met Sophie).
I dropped Rob with the boys in Ford & I carried on to Gracie's parents home in Bath where my gut proved me right, I instantly fell in love with Gracie & was very excited about the rest of the day. I love it when I can find unusual places to do a bridesmaid photo, as you may have seen from a previous wedding when I made them all get in a bath-tub! So I was thrilled when I discovered a huge balcony at the back of the house & when I asked the girls if I could take their picture, Gracie told me that is where Charlie proposed - so it was certainly a done deal for me!
Once travelling to the Church we all got stuck in a little bit of traffic through Bath & let's just say Gracie was very fashionably late, but this didn't disturb any of the days events! Gracie & Charlie got married at St Andrew's Church in Castle Combe, Chippenham. The Church was in the perfect location as it's next door to The Manor House where they had their reception; so we all took a stroll up the cobbles & threw some confetti along the way!
After some drinks, canapés & formal photos, it was time to whisk away Gracie & Charlie for some couple portraits through the grounds of The Manor House. This venue is simply stunning & on a summers day it could look as though you're in Italy! I was blown away by how quickly Gracie & Charlie got into the shoot. They are both so natural with each other & I know they felt comfortable with me so we managed to get some beautiful images. I actually felt like I was on a styled shoot rather than a real wedding!
Once the Wedding Breakfast begins Rob & I can relax knowing everything is done & we can now take a step back to capture things naturally. One of my favourite times for this is the speeches as everyone is relaxed & you can capture real emotion whether this is laughter or tears. On this occasion it was predominately laughter as a collection of hilarious photos of Charlie became the highlight! Once the dancing was in full swing we did one more photo of Gracie & Charlie outside before saying our goodbyes.
I am so excited to be seeing them all again for Sophie's wedding in March & I can't think of a nicer family to be doing a 'double wedding' for. You may also notice on one of the images, some food bars with 'Squirrel Sisters' on - this is Gracie & Sophie's company where they promote a healthy lifestyle & their bars are going to be launching in 250 Boots stores around the country next week!
