Intimate wedding at Euridge Manor & Orangery - Jack & Hannah
August started off beautifully with this gorgeous intimate wedding at my favourite venue - Euridge Manor, previously known as The Lost Orangery. If you have been following me for a while you will know that this was actually where Rob & I originally booked to have our wedding this September. But I will save talking about us for our own blog! However this venue is STILL my favourite, it STILL blows me away every time & I don’t think I will ever get bored of shooting here, which is a good thing as I am back again next week!
I remember when Hannah first contacted me, she was so passionate about me being her photographer, & when I heard her emotional story & reasons behind their intimate wedding I was adamant too that I needed to photograph it. They only booked me for 5 hours coverage as with only having 23 guests, we felt this was plenty of time to get the photos they wanted & not be too intrusive for such a special day. I also was excited about meeting their dog Polly who was up very high on the list of important photos, which I wasn’t surprised about when I discovered her Instagram fame - @our_fluffy_family
I arrived to photograph Hannah & her bridesmaids getting ready in the Orangery, which again is my favourite place to photograph prep. It’s incredibly unique with gorgeous light & details everywhere. You can find a different place to shoot each time! Hannah was very emotional in the morning & I kept telling her how beautiful she looked. I hope now she can see & believe when looking at her photos! Hannah also had a second dress but wasn’t putting it on until the evening, however I still managed to photograph it in all it’s glory. I just wish I could’ve seen it on too! A highlight of the morning for me was following Hannah’s Dad around in his dressing gown. He always seemed to be needed somewhere so was constantly interrupted whenever he attempted to get his suit on. So a dressing gown shot made it to their gallery which you will see below! I am glad to hear it made them all laugh…
Their ceremony was outside in the boat house accompanied by a beautiful harp which made it so romantic & suited the intimacy. I then did a few natural photos of everyone enjoying champagne but then I was quick to start family photos as I knew I had a list to get through before I was leaving & everyone was going to eat. Luckily everyone was so efficient & wanting of photos as they all understood that was the reason I was there & how special it was.
Other than meeting Polly & following Hannah’s Dad around in his dressing gown, my favourite part, as it usually is, was my time alone with Jack & Hannah. We spent a good half an hour walking around the grounds & they even agreed to get in the boat, which was rather entertaining for me & then probably even more entertaining for anyone who could’ve seen me pulling them back in with a rope! Once we made it back up to the Orangery it was time for me to leave & everyone to enjoy their intimate meal. I am glad I managed to photograph the table as it looked absolutely beautiful! The most perfect setting for this kind of event.
I feel incredibly honoured that I got to photograph such a special occasion in the most beautiful place so thank you Jack & Hannah for trusting me.
& thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy the images…..
