2019 - My best year

You can all probably guess why 2019 was my best year, & if not, it’s because it was finally my turn to be a REAL bride & marry Rob after nearly 10 years together. But before we get to that part of the year, let’s take it back to January when I officially opened ‘The Pod’, my garden studio where I do performance headshots during the week. That has kept me extremely busy with 144 people coming to have a shoot along with the 30 weddings (purposely took 10 less than 2018 due to our wedding amongst other things), & numerous family, boudoir & engagement shoots.

As I have said before, not a day goes by where I am not doing something to do with my business & I thought I would have more time to blog & do video tutorials whilst also concentrating on the planning of our wedding; but what with everything above, I didn’t find the time to hardly do any of this. However I have not felt overwhelmed once. 2019 I finally found ‘my happy’ so this meant I was taking work in my stride, & then the cherry on top was our wedding day & our epic honeymoon road-tripping California. This was by far the best three weeks of my whole life & the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. You can read all about our day here, & I WILL be doing a separate blog on our honeymoon. Once we were back from our honeymoon I finally won the puppy battle & we got our gorgeous Cavapoo puppy, Tink.

So all in all it has been a non-stop year that has gone ridiculously fast, I have photographed the best people & I am so grateful for them as always. I will be starting the new year as the same me, & still strive to be better each day. There’s always so much pressure when starting another year & what with this one being a new decade, I think there’s lots who feel the need to ‘succeed & make this the best year ever’, but as long as you’re happy & healthy - that’s all that matters. Don’t stress the small stuff & just do your best. I am looking forward to seeing where my business takes me this year, & especially excited for our destination weddings in France & Croatia, along with some personal holidays we have planned!
